Beginners who can read and write the German (Latin) alphabet but have no or very little knowledge of German start at course level A1/1 and generally need about five months to reach the integration exam level (A2/2).
Persons who already have some knowledge of the German language can start at a higher level than A1/1 and take the integration exam earlier.
Course fees for integration courses at Deutschinstitut Wien (for persons who own the yellow voucher of the Ministry of the Interior/Integration Fund)

(60 lessons/month = € 275,-/month) € 1.375,- reimbursed amount by the Integration Fund

Beginners who register for a five-month integration course and start at level A1/1 can use all three Vienna Language Vouchers (3 x € 100,-) and will therefore have to pay a course fee of € 215,- per month. Deutschinstitut Wien cannot grant an early registration discount in combination with the Vienna Language Vouchers. Persons who also possess the yellow voucher of the Integration Fund and have passed the integration exam will receive an additional 50% refund of the entire course fee (€ 687,50) from the Integration Fund.
